THE VENDORS

They say it takes a village... Well, it takes a hell of a lot of people to rebuild a rustly old Panel Delivery. The following are links and such to the companies whose goods and services we've used to restore The Beast. Without exception, all the folks I've used so far have been knowlegable, helpful, and deliver promptly.

Chevy Duty - in Kansas City, Missouri. The one I've used most so far. I got the steering gear rebuild kit, the heater rebuild stuff, the electrical harness, and ALL the manuals from them. They offer groups of parts in kit form-- like suspension kits, brake kits, and floor and firewall kits-- at a good price.
Jim Carter Antique Truck Parts - In Independence, Missouri (hometown of Harry Truman). Thier catalog is the thickest, and they have access to oddball used parts. For instance, they found a pair of taillight assembles for the panel/suburban where nobody else could.
Brothers Chevrolet - Located in Corona, California. They run great sales, have a lot of trim parts and truckbed components, and their catalog is really slickly produced.
Golden State Pickup Parts - Great prices, and the articles in the catalog are interesting. They just moved from Santa Ynez to Carson City, Nevada, but they have a showroom in Anaheim.

Chevy Heaven - Freedom, California. Provided some expert advice early on. Thier primary business is restoring Bel-Aires, Nomads, 210s and such but they can get truck parts no problem. (Now in Chevy Heaven-- Jan. 2004)
Chevy Parts Warehouse - San Martin, California. they have a huge warehouse full of parts for everything from Camaros and Impalas to trucks. (Also pushing up daisies-- Jan. 2004)
Grumpy's - Phoenix, Arizona. He goes to a lot of swapmeets, has excellent prices and lots of trim items. 800-457-8679
Auto Truck and Bumper - Hayward, California. They do chrome and the owner knows trucks.
Dave Hindman - Vacaville, California. A nice supply of classic and antique California plates, most DMV clear, PH: 707-448-8942.
